National Prize for Design 2005 in numbers

Registered entries in total - 118, of which product design category 36, communication design category 36, students product design category 35 and students communication design category 11.
Most numerous products – furniture and interior accessories (20). Comparing with the latest NPD – more machines (7), clothes (4) and less instruments and home appliances (2) registered this year.
Communication design category – many promotional materials and catalogues (13), logos and visual styles (11), periodicals and magazines (7) and fewer annual reports (2).
The international panel of judges comprising of experts from Slovakia, Czech Republic, France and Austria sit for the evaluation of entries from 07 to 08 September 2005 in Bratislava.
The judging resulted in awarding two National Prizes for Design 2005, two Prizes of the Minister of Education and ten mentions. The judging panel nominated winners for special prizes to be chosen from by the respective ministers.
Winning products presented at the exhibition Design in Slovakia 1990 – 2005 in Bratislava held in November 2005.
